Dr Zakir Hussain का जन्म 1897 में हैदराबाद में हुआ था तथा इनकी मृत्यु 1969 में हुई थी | यह एक महान स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे जो की पढाई के हिसाब से भी बहुत अच्छे थे | यह भारत के राष्ट्रपति बनने से पहले बिहार राज्य के राज्यपाल रह चुके हैं | Dr Zakir Hussain राष्ट्रपति पद पर 1967 में बैठे और उसी समय ये राष्ट्रपति पद की शपथ ग्रहण किये | इन्होने शपथ ग्रहण करते समय जो भी भाषण दिया है , उसी का कुछ भाग यहाँ प्रस्तुत किया गया है |
